That’s why we’re working with schools across Nottingham to help families access clear information, trusted support and routine vaccinations.
Our Healthy Heroes Vaccinations Programme is making it easier for parents and carers to check whether their child is up to date and get support if they have missed a vaccination.
Every vaccination is a small step that helps protect your child
Vaccinations help protect children from serious illnesses that can lead to hospital stays, time away from school and, in some cases, lifelong health problems.
They also help protect friends, family members and the wider community.
Most parents in Nottingham choose to vaccinate their children because they want them to have the best possible start in life.

Healthy Heroes is helping primary school communities across Nottingham learn more about vaccinations and making it easier for families to access support.
Working alongside schools and the Immunisation Outreach Team, we’re:
- Providing easy-to-understand information
- Sharing resources in different languages
- Supporting parents and carers to ask questions
- Helping families check vaccination records
- Offering opportunities for catch-up vaccinations
